Frequently asked questions
The practical details behind bids, ranking, checkout, and payment confirmation.
Which apps can join the leaderboard?
Any approved AppRater listing that is published and active can receive bids. If your app is not listed yet, submit it for review first.
How does the $5 bid work?
Choose an app and complete the one-time $5 checkout with Whop. Each settled payment adds one bid to that app.
How is the ranking decided?
Ranking is based on the total number of successful $5 bids. If apps have the same total, the app with the newest successful bid wins the tie.
How quickly will the app move up?
The page normally confirms the payment as soon as Whop sends you back. A background check also reconciles completed payments within about 15 minutes if the redirect or webhook is missed.
Do I need an AppRater account?
No. AppRater does not require an account for bidding. Whop securely handles the checkout.
What payment information is public?
Only the app, its bid count, and its position are shown. Buyer identities and payment details are not published.
